FIMA works promoting initiatives in governance, territory, health, food sovereignty, forests, climate, economy, culture and resilience to the pandemic.

Peru ranks ninth in the world in terms of forest area, with more than 73 million hectares. Currently, 20% of that territory are administered by native communities that, thanks to their love for the forest, maintain the lowest deforestation rates.

Alianza por la fauna silvestre

WCS and WWF, with the support of the European Union, have initiated the implementation of the “Alliance for Wild Fauna and Forests”, whose impact zone is Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, and the two triple borders Brazil -Colombia-Peru and Bolivia-Brazil-Peru.
